I realized after I published my first post the other day that I never really said here what Greenberry Street is exactly. So today will simply be a “Product Introduction” of sorts.
Basically, I have been a crafting “jack of all trades” since I was a kid. I enjoy it, and seem to have a knack for much of it. Finally, after many years of tossing it around (and with a little push from my #RiskRejection friends), I hatched a plan to move ahead with it.
I had just discovered a “niche” if you will for some paper flowers I made, so I whipped up a few different bouquets, and then made my pitch to the local hospital gift shop I wanted to sell them in. No business plan, no prices–pretty much just a few handfuls of paper flowers and the butterflies in my stomach. That’s all I had.
And the shop owner said “Give me thirty.”
Bam. Now I’m a small business!
So, if you hop over to the Greenberry Street Facebook page and find my Photos, you can see a few shots of the items I recently delivered as part of my first order. (Because I have been a Blogspot blogger forever but am a WordPress rookie and haven’t learned all the features yet, it is just easier to go to the Facebook page–and “Like” the shop while you’re there!)
I did, however, decide to try it out here, so below is a slideshow of the Spool Flowers I made.
I’ll share more product lines as time goes on, but these little cuties are some of my favorites. What do you think?? Would you buy these as a gift for someone in the hospital?
